Our Vision Statement

Our Vision, inspired by Blessed Mary MacKillop, is that all children who leave our school have a positive sense of community; that they have an appreciation of and respect for themselves as valuable people; that they have respect for other people and the world in which they live; that they have been given the opportunity to attain their academic potential and are aware that learning is a life-long experience.

Our Mission Statement
Following the example of Blessed Mary MacKillop the Mission of our school community is to create a learning environment where children feel the love of Jesus, whilst developing at their own pace and cognitive level.

Our School
St Joseph’s School was founded in 1928 by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart.  During its long history the school had catered for both primary and secondary education.  The Sisters of St Joseph withdrew from the school at the conclusion of the 1977 School Year.  Secondary education ceased in 1964.

The staff of St Joseph’s, with the Parish Priest, Father Phillip Filby and under the direction of the Catholic Education Office Bathurst, and the leadership of Diocesan Director Mr Peter Hill, today seeks to continue to meet the educational and spiritual needs of students in their Primary School years from Manildra and the surrounding district.  The welfare of each child and their families, as well as the development of a deep sense of community, is recognized as the shared responsibility of the priest, staff, students and parents of the school.

Resources to ensure a full range of academic, cultural, sporting courses and the latest technology in media-rich classrooms are available to all students Kinder to Year Six.

Our School Motto
St Joseph’s Motto comes from the tradition of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.  The Motto “All for the Heart of Jesus” (Omnia pro te cor Jesu) reminds us that the Spirit of love challenges us to cherish and model the life and teachings of Jesus.

ome to St Joseph's
