Relive the fabulous days of Cobb & Co., the largest horse drawn Coach Line in the world, even
bigger than "Wells Farto" in the United States of America.

Under the direction of J.E.L. Ruthedord and William Franklin Whitney who set up their NSW Headquaters in William Street, Bathurst in 1862 they developed their business which continued for the
next seventy years.

On Saturday, 12 th November, 2011 the Lachlan Living History Group in conjunction with Cabonne Country Wide will be conducting a celebration to commorate the great achievement and contribution that Cobb & Co. played in the very colourful history and heritage in developing this great country of Australia.

This is going to be a day not to be missed. Visitors to Molong NSW will experience a live re-enactment
of a hold up and subsequent robbery of a fully restored Cobb & Co. Mail coach by Bushrangers only to be foiled by NSW Troopers (Police) dressed in authentic costume and using firearms of the period.

Take a free ride on a Mail coach, see a Blacksmith demonstrate his craft in the traditional method, be entertained by a six piece Australian Colonial Folk Band, see a static display of an original, fully restored Cobb & Co. Mail coach, blank firing and display off firearms used during the period, including blank flring of two 1/8 scale Cooks Cannons. Visit many and varied Market Stalls, have the kids entertained on a jumping castle, ride on an inflatable worm and grab the ever popular Fairy Floss and Dagrvood Dogs.

The venue for this fabulous historical event will be the Molong Recreation Glound, located on the corner of Hill and Edward Streets, Molong. Gates will open at 8.00 a.m. Cost will be $5.00 per Adult, $15.00 Family of 4 and $2.00 Pensioners.

During the day will be the official opening of Peter Browne's Art Gallery and will be open to the public all day. Thc Gallery is located next to the main entrance to the Recreation Ground on the Hill Street side.

Commencing at 4.00 p.m. there will be a Skate Board Competition run in conjunction with the Cobb & Co celebrations. Children will be admitted free and competition prizes will be awarded. The grand finale will be a massive Fire Works Display commencing at approximately 8:30pm to cap off a great days entertainment for everyone, which will also be free admission.

This will be a walk down memory lane for the older generation, an education for the younger generation with great fun and entertainment for the kids. This will be the biggest and cheapest one days entertainment ever held in Molong.
